Estimates and Project Management
Anderson Steel’s estimating services utilize traditional manual materials, take-offs, and advanced Tekla structural steel software. Our thorough knowledge of the market, steel construction costs, and quality estimating process mean we are naturally more accurate than competitors that handle their own internal estimates.
Our project management services are designed to meet each customer's requirements per each project. Our project managers know the trends and outcomes in steel construction, and they are fully experienced with OSHA guidelines, customer communication, building and construction companies, structural engineers and designers, co-ordination with additional trades, purchasing, document control, steel fabrication, welding, surface treatment, quality assurance (QA), and steel erection.
We always protect the confidentiality of customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and colleagues. We work to find and reduce risks to protect customers and discuss all known problems and risks as soon as possible after they are made as well as problems relating to sub-contractors or suppliers.
We improve our services by giving customers specific and accurate reporting data pertaining to the progress of each contract, the details of additional works or variations, and preparing progress schedules.

Detailing
Turn to us for full-service detailing on all of our fabrication projects.
We are well experienced with direct requests for information (RFI) as well as coordination among engineers, designers, and builders. Our in-house facilities handle detail fabrication and erection drawings. We use SDs2 and Tekla detailing software to enable projects to be drawn three-dimensionally. This is helpful in the structural engineering and design review process.
Our office is virtually paperless with all information electronically stored. We run off-site backups daily for continuous data protection without data loss or downtime. Electronic updates for projects are always available. We deliver detailed fabrication and erection drawings for multiple projects at any given time. Our customer support maintains good communication with clients and construction teams during modeling, fabrication, and erection.
Our standard detailed fabrication and erection drawings incorporate 3-D modeling, fabrication drawings, component drawings, DXF template files, NC cam data files, materials lists, steel purlin schedules, and bolt lists. All data is contained at our own nesting system to create a materials reports for procurement and cutting purposes while minimizing waste. All documents and drawings are available through email or an FTP site in DWG and PDF formats. Project drawings can be provided in batches for various phases.
